DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction: Case 46

Description

This patient underwent a left mastectomy and tissue expander reconstruction by another plastic surgeon. She then needed left breast radiation therapy which caused significant hardening of her implant (capsular contracture). She therefore opted to undergo removal of her tissue expander and reconstruction with a DIEP flap. She also underwent a reduction and lift of her right breast for better symmetry. She still needs to undergo left nipple and areola 3D tattooing.
