A mini tummy tuck (mini abdominoplasty) is a smaller operation with a shorter scar than a full abdominoplasty. It is performed when there is a small amount of extra skin below the navel and minimal skin removal is necessary. The scar from a mini tummy tuck is only slightly longer than a typical C-section scar. It is placed as low as possible, usually beneath a C-section scar so that it is hidden underneath one’s underwear or bikini. A mini tummy tuck keeps the patient's original navel and there is no scar around the navel. Any old C-section scars are removed with a mini abdominoplasty.
