The best fillers for the lips are Juvederm and Restylane. Radiesse cannot be used for lip augmentation. This can help with bleeding of lipstick onto the upper lip skin as well. A small amount of filler is injected here, usually 0.2-0.3 milliliters. There is usually 0.8 or 1.0 milliliters in a single filler syringe, so the remainder can be used elsewhere on the face.
For those women who have a significant loss of volume of the upper or lower lip, filler can be injected at both the white line and within the pink part of the lip as well. Injection into the pink part of the lip can also be used to even out the thickness of the lip, when one side is thinner than the other.
